QR codes for restaurants that never need reprinting.
Print one QR code per table. Change the menu, swap the specials, or redirect to a seasonal page — all from your phone, without sending a single thing back to the printer.
10 active codes free. Enough for most single-location restaurants.
The problem with most restaurant QR codes
The QR code on your table tent was probably generated by a free online tool and printed once, six months ago. It's a static code: the menu URL is encoded directly into the image. So the moment any of these things happens, the code is dead:
- ·You move the menu PDF to a new folder on Google Drive.
- ·Your website host shuts down or you switch platforms.
- ·You want to swap to a seasonal menu without reprinting 60 table tents.
- ·A daily-specials link expires and the QR sends customers to a 404.
Reprinting table tents costs time, money, and a trip to the print shop you didn't budget for. A dynamic QR code fixes this permanently: the printed image points to a redirect URL we control, and you change the destination from a dashboard.
How it works for a restaurant
Generate a code per table (or one for the whole room)
Create a QR code in the dashboard. Point it at your current menu URL. If you want per-table scan counts (useful for figuring out which tables get sat the most), create one code per table; otherwise one shared code is fine.
Print on table tents, coasters, or stickers
Download a print-ready PNG and send it to your usual print shop, or print on letter paper and laminate. The image you print today is the image you'll print never-again.
Update the menu URL from your phone
New menu PDF? New seasonal page? Open the dashboard, paste the new URL, save. Every existing printed code now points to the new destination. Customers scanning right now hit the new page on their next scan.
See which tables actually scan
Every code carries a scan counter. Hand your manager a CSV showing which table tents earn their floor space and which ones get ignored.
Common scenarios this solves
Seasonal menu swap
Print one QR. In May, point it at the spring menu. In September, repoint it at the fall menu. Same printed code, zero reprinting cost.
Daily specials
Update the destination every morning to a new specials page. Customers scan the same table-tent QR and see today's specials, not last Tuesday's.
Menu PDF moved
Switched from Squarespace to Wix? Moved the PDF to a new folder? The printed code keeps working — just paste the new URL in the dashboard.
Pop-up or food truck
One QR sticker on the truck. Park in a different city this week? Repoint it at the new location's hours and menu.
Other ways teams use QRBrave
The same dynamic-QR mechanic shows up across industries. Pick the one closest to your campaign.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate QR code for every table?
No. One QR code can cover the whole restaurant. If you want per-table tracking (table 4 gets the most scans? table 12 never does?), create a code per table — each one redirects to the same menu but reports independent scan counts.
What happens when I update the menu PDF?
Upload the new PDF wherever you host it (Google Drive, Dropbox, your website), then paste the new URL into the QRBrave dashboard. Every existing printed code now points to the new menu. No reprinting.
Will it still work if my Wi-Fi is down?
The customer's phone uses cellular data to scan and follow the redirect — your restaurant Wi-Fi isn't part of the chain. As long as the customer has signal and your menu host is online, the code works.
Can I use it for daily specials, not just the main menu?
Yes. Print a 'Today's specials' QR code on table tents and update the destination URL every morning to a different specials page. The printed card never changes.
Is it really free?
Yes. The Free tier includes 10 active QR codes — enough for most single-location restaurants. No credit card required.
Print one menu QR. Edit it forever.
Free for 10 active codes. No credit card. Set it up in five minutes — keep using it for as long as the restaurant runs.
